Students take Quantum leap

On Tuesday 20 April and Wednesday 21 April our Year 9 students went to Quantum Victoria to take part in their Giant Stem Investigation to kick off Term 2’s earth science unit.

This program introduced the students to the International Union for the Conservation of Nature Red List of Threatened Species (endangered, least concern, extinct) and they learned about an endangered Victorian invertebrate, the Giant Gippsland Earthworm. They also explored how research scientists collaborate through extended investigations, and they also developed their classification, problem-solving and analytical skills through a hands-on research investigation.
