This year the year 7’s went to camp at Lady Northcote in Bacchus Marsh.
This camp was a great experience, there were so many fun activities we did, like the giant swing, rafting, high ropes and much more.
My favourite activity was the either the high ropes or the giant swing. Over all I had a great time and I would recommend this camp for the future.

Year 7 Camp will definitely be one of my most treasured memories from my first year at William Ruthven Secondary College. At YMCA Lady Northcote there were a range of
activities which tested our courage and bravery.
One of the activities that almost everyone faced was the daunting Giant Swing, a 20m high swing in which you are harnessed and pulled up by your group. Most went to the top of the swing, but you didn’t have to if you didn’t want to. After you were lifted up you had to pull a rope and you would go flying back and forth.
Another challenge that tested our courage and willpower were the High Rope Courses. They were an assortment of courses that in order complete you would have to make your way across many obstacles. Luckily you didn’t have to worry about falling because like the Giant Swing you were also harnessed and had a safety helmet.
Overall, I had a great time at camp and I think we all were exhausted by the time the bus came to pick us up to leave the great and challenging times we shared at YMCA Lady North- cote Camp.
