We all had an absolute ball at the William Ruthven Secondary College Athletics Day, held earlier this week.

Our Year 12s really got into the spirit of the day by dressing up for what will be their final Athletics Day.

Principal Judi Benney said school staff and students look forward to the day and it provides some bonding time for the school community.

“It was a great day, everyone had lots of fun and quite a few students achieved ‘personal bests’,” she said.

“We even had staff vs students races, which were a real hit.”

The Athletics Day is usually held in March, but had to be postponed due to bad weather.
