William Ruthven Secondary College Year 10 work future elective and Year 11 students are participating in Inner Northern local Learning and Employment Networks’ (INLLEN) Real Industry Job Interview (RIJI) program this year.
RIJI is a work readiness program that assists students in developing good job search, resume writing and interviewing skills. The program is delivered as part of a school’s curriculum throughout a series of guided lesson plans and concludes in a face-to-face interview with a local volunteer interviewer during a RIJI event.
The RIJI program is a real community effort and would not be possible without the participation of schools, service providers and local employers. We are seeking volunteer interviewers for the mock interview events and would love some families and friends to get involved.
The mock interviews will take place on the following dates:
Yarra schools:
October 12
Fitzroy Town Hall
Darebin schools:
October 17 and 19
Darebin Arts Centre
Merri-Bek schools:
October 10 and 24
Coburg Town Hall
If you would like further information on the RIJI program or would like to volunteer at one of our mock interview events, please see the website at http://inllen.org.au/riji/ or contact RIJI Coordinator Janelle Barnard on jbarnard@inllen.org.au
